Agency description: Animal Relief Friends (ARF) began in 1979 as part of the Humane Society of Jackson County. ARF volunteers provide foster homes for abandoned dogs and cats, sponsor a pet adoption program, rescue sick and injured animals, and work to educate the public about the reasons why pets should be spayed or neutered. 

Time commitment: Varies.

Skills, experiences, and special requirements: (1) A sincere concern for the care and safety of animals (2) Desire and ability to teach Humane Education to youngsters.
