Location:
Meeting places vary. Meetings are usually held once a year in celebration
of Women’s History Month.
Agency description:
The council for women identifies the needs of women in the county and makes
those needs known to the County Commissioners, local legislators, other
women’s groups, and the public. The Council also provides literature
to local women on pending state legislation affecting them and information
on how to contact their legislators.
Time commitment:
Members normally spend between 12 and 15 hours a year.
