Location: Volunteers are assigned to a public school in Jackson County.

Agency description: At Discovery, the staff and volunteers develop a custom-designed plan for youth who are at high risk of educational, economic, and social failure.  Discovery provides tutoring, transportation, experiential education, linkage to community resources and activities, service-learning projects, and work-study programs.  The program strives to provide alternative learning, empower parents, promote youth involvement, and foster the development of positive, caring relationships.

Time commitment: Please come once a week or more for tutoring.  Other project times vary, depending on need.
