Location: The Mountain Heritage Center is on the ground floor of the H.F. Robinson Administration Building. 

Agency description: Through publications, exhibits, and educational programs, the center promotes public awareness of the cultural and national heritage of the Southern Appalachian region and its people. A volunteer’s primary responsibility will be to help staff a welcome/reception area at entrance to museum.  The volunteer may also be asked to assist with educational programs (good experience for Education majors), exhibits program (good experience for Arts and Sciences majors and/or Industrial Technology majors), and publications (Graphic Arts majors).

Training required: Each area of interest requires some specific training. 

Time commitment: Minimum of 4 hours per week. 

Skills, experiences, and special requirements: An Interest in Appalachia is essential.
