Turn right at the first road. East Central Drive. CARE is in the Golden Age Senior Center, a brown building near Sylva Park. Agency description: Project CARE seeks to help senior citizens remain safely in their own homes for as long as possible. Referrals are made by various agencies, relatives or friends of low income elderly who need minor home repairs or a wheelchair ramp for their safety. Volunteers will assist with making repairs and other duties as requested by the project coordinator. Training required: A volunteer supervisor, who is experienced in carpentry, trains and instructs volunteers. Time commitment: Please help by giving from several hours up to a full day. Skills, experience, and special requirements: None. |
