Go 1/4 miles and turn left on Little Savannah Road. Webster Enterprises is the first drive on the right. Agency description: Webster Enterprises is a training program, which provides opportunities for individuals who have disabilities or disadvantages to work to their full potential, while providing service to the community. Webster Enterprises also acts as support staff for social, recreational, and vocational training programs, which may include clerical and production skills, as well as the manufacturing of medical devices. Volunteers may assist with instruction of socialization and vocational skills, helping to improve interaction with supervising staff and co-workers, as well as to increasing productivity and work quality. Training required: In-service and on-the-job training varies according to the volunteer's duties. Time commitment: People may help with one-time projects and events or with on-going service. Skills, experiences, and special requirements: Volunteers should enjoy working with individuals with disabilities or disadvantages and have good people skills, be compassionate, non-judgmental, and good listeners. |
