Location: The Alcohol Information Center is located in the Community Services Building on Hospital Road, behind Harris Regional Hospital.

Agency description: The Alcohol Information Center is an affiliate with the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. The prevention and reduction of alcoholism and drug abuse is the center’s ultimate goal.  The center provides informal counseling and referral service for anyone having problems with alcohol or other drugs; educational services; literature for those who wish to know more about alcohol and other drugs; a lending library of books, tapes, and videos; special materials to assist family members; directs the Alcohol Awareness Scholarship Program; information on 12-step programs; information on other drugs, including how to stop smoking and eating problems.
