Location: The Friends of the Library Bookstore is on Main Street below the old courthouse in downtown Sylva. It is the house beside the Jackson County Public Library. Agency description: Friends assists the library and aims to foster community participation in the library. Friends of the Library sponsors programs for community in the library. These include a wide variety of things such as, music, literature, book sales, story telling, etc. Training: Training will be conducted by the library staff or Friends of the Library according to what the volunteer is interested in. Time commitment: Varies according to task. Skills, experiences, and special requirements: None. |
