Location: From Asheville, take I-40 west. Take exit 27 (NC 19-23-US 74) off of I-40. Follow NC 23, US 74 to Sylva and take Exit 85 (Sylva Exit) and go 1/4 mile to Harris Regional Hospital. Turn right at the hospital entrance. Go to the bottom of the hill (approx. 1/4 mile) to Jackson County Community Service Center. The Jackson County Extension Center is located on the second floor (Suite 205).

Agency description: Program description/mission: Information resources and programs in agriculture, family and consumer sciences, youth development and community development.  Has many educational opportunities, including day camps and summer camps for youth, youth 4-H clubs, homemaker clubs, monthly horticulture classes, and lots of brochures and pamphlets on almost any topic.

Training required: People skills, communication skills.

Time commitment: Varies according to program.

Skills, experiences, and special requirements: Need people 18 and over to be 4-H leaders.
