Location: The
NC Division of Services for the Blind is housed on the second floor of
the Community Services Building behind Harris Regional Hospital.
Agency description:
Services for the Blind enables blind or visually impaired individuals to
live as independently or as self-sufficiently as possible. Volunteers
may help as sighted guides; other people are needed to complete errands,
open mail, and help with other clerical tasks.
Time commitment:
Varies depending on the individual.
Skills, experiences,
and special requirements: Some basic knowledge of visually impaired
people would be helpful.
